Get to Know Us

Whether you have always planned a Montessori education for your child or you have recently discovered Montessori, we offer several introductory classes to help parents determine if our school is a good fit.

Parent and Child

Our Parent and Child classes are a great opportunity for parents to experience the Montessori classroom with their child. Parents, grandparents and nannies are welcome to accompany the student, although we ask that only one adult accompany each child to a class. These classes are best for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years, with or without previous classroom experience.

Each session of Parent and Child is four weeks long and provides students and their caregivers ample time to work with materials in the classroom, participate in circle time, eat snack and play on the playground.

Registration

Parent and Child classes are held on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. Sessions are typically scheduled during the winter and spring. Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-serve. If you are interested in our Parent and Child Program, please complete a tour request form and select Parent and Child Program Interest under Program of Choice

We are working on scheduling a Parent and Child Session for an affordable cost during Spring of 2025. If you are interested in finding out more, please complete a tour request form as we only hold these sessions if we have enough interest. We always offer an opportunity for new parents to be on campus before their young child begins school with us either in the summer or fall as an abbreviated version of Parent and Child. This will help new students, ages 2-4, and their families get acclimated before their first official day of school.

Independent Child

For the young child ready to try school independently, we offer an “Independent Child” class. This is an opportunity for children to come to school for a short time in order to acclimate and experience the Montessori classroom. This class is appropriate for children 2 and 3 years old.

Classes are held on Friday. Children will start the school day, like our full-time students, with carpool drop-off and move through a modified school day schedule. Students have the opportunity to work with classroom materials, participate in a circle time, eat snack and play on the playground. Potty-training is not required to participate.

Many families find this class to be a good steppingstone to their child's enrollment in our Summer SessionTransitional Program or the Traditional Montessori Program.

Independent Child classes are held on Friday's from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM and are scheduled for a Winter/Spring session time frame. Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-serve. We are offering an Independent Child class at our Bel Air Campus for the 2024-2025 school year. This class will run for 18 weeks between Mid-January and Mid-May and the cost of the program is $750. If you are interested in our Independent Child Program, please complete a tour request form and select Independent Child Program Interest under Program of Choice
